Whew! Chiangmai's mission accomplished. Our first day attempt on ATV failed due to heavy downpour but was compromised by hugging 2 live adult tiger, scary an experience of a lifetime.
Second day went discovering fabled golden triangle and visited Lao and Myanmar. Ended our day visiting my long anticipated Karen "long neck" tribe.
With excellent weather on our 3rd day, our ATV ride was achieved. After that, I had an unanticipated surprise fishing at Bosang lake and was rewarded with few Mekong Catfish from smallest 4kg to 23 kg largest which I've landed single-handedly.
Ended our last day trying our hand on Mircolight, gliding through Mekong dam. A really wonderful experience flying through the breath taking country side and witnessing a ring of rainbow encompassing the shadow of my glider. Rest of the day spent browsing city street of Chiangmai.
Amazing & fulfilling Chiangmai vacation!

I am back! @ New home in Guanghou
Yeah, my parcels have arrived! After almost 4months of waiting, finally I get back all my stuffs especially the winter clothes and my favorite Scrapbooking goodies (although it’s only partial of my inventory)! Now I really feel I am at “home” after filling all my clothes, shoes, books, scrapbook items, etc into wardrobe, cupboard, cabinets… you have no idea how I have been living in an “empty” house for the past few months, not that my new apartment in GZ is no good, just that I am so used to have a lot of “junk” around me, so it is hard for me to live without them, specially scrapbooking… I am so glad that I can start my art & craft again! Oh yes, it give me a reason to blog again! Although I had a hard time to blog in China, but I’ll try… for the sake of scrapbooking, haha…

Real Madrid
Did this layout last month, when the world is celebrating Spain won the South Africa FIFA world cup championship; I sort of remember I do have a photo that I took in Real Madrid stadium. So I decided to go with the sport waves and make it a special keepsake for myself.

Finally I am there… Singapore Zoo’s entrance… and our version of night safari
After upgrading my bike’s fork to Talas , Chris King headset and white Spank wheelset, I am ready to go for another spin.
Setting off from Clementi home, riding all the way down via Bukit Batok, then passing through Hill View, then turning into Bukit Timah Road and towards Dairy Farm Road via Zheng Hua. Cutting through a small dirt trail, we rode into a mountain biking trail known as T15. After some steep climbing and some bumpy trails, we reach a locked gate at Mandai Range. Here, we have a jump a rail to climb over the opposite side, hurling our bikes over; we continue to ride towards Mandai Road at 6.40pm, when the sky’s turning dark by then. We hit the direction towards Zoo and its dark when we reached Singapore Zoo entrance. Hungry form our ride; we made it in time for KFC’s finger licking good last order.
After dinner, we have to make our way back, through the same way we rode but this time, under darkness into the trails without any head lights. Once we rode inside the off-road trail, we were greeted by a bunch of wild boars scrambling for cover the moment they saw two strange figures riding towards them. Although it was dark, amazingly the trail was quite well lighted by the moon light, except for certain section where its covered by heavy canopy of trees. I barely can see a thing except Jay’s shadow and his whisper becomes my guide. But the ride riding was more exciting than we had planned. Although I was exhausted on the return journey, I must keep up with Jay’s speed otherwise I will be left behind. That a joke but in some distant, I can hear wild boars and some unknown sound of animals. I guess the T15 journey only about 2km long but I admit it’s a difference experience to ride at night. So I must say that I did an unusual night safari without paying an entrance fees.
Refreshed after a good warm shower, we were relaxing with a mug of Ben and Jerry’s watching Nat Geo Wild….what a night experience.

Scoop on Sizzix @ Made With Love - Vol. 4 Sep/Oct 2010
Newly scoop on Sizzix is out now! Here are the projects that I shared with you...
Theme: Texture; Ideas for layout, card
Project 1: “Inspire” hand-made chalk board
First time trying out chalkboard paint and I didn’t expect it is so easy to apply. Here I make-over a Daiso MDF clipboard to a chalkboard hanging panel. With a touch of flower trims, ribbons, fabric, button, washing tapes, chipboards, sticker, etc. Instantly it becomes a personal inspiration ideas board.

Project 2: “Inspire journey” layout
Love this black& white photo and would like to add nostalgic feeling by layering the pattern paper and some “wear& tear” textures into it. Hanging signage, cut-out pens, rolls up a note and wax seal; all embellished based on the same concept.

Project 3: Notebook
A personalized gift idea; transform an ordinary notebook with a pocketed cover. Pick a favorite pattern paper, measure to size, and distress it. Then make a pocket with the same pattern paper, run a ribbon across the die-cut buckle and sew all down to the first pattern paper. Then paste the assembled papers on top of the notebook cover. Follow by embellishment like flowers, trims, pebbles, clip, glitter, and apply glossy accents on some of the portion to give a difference texture.
Repeat similar steps for the back of the notebook expect its much smaller in size compared to the cover.
For the notebook tag (or bookmark), I used embossing paper with Textured kits then die-cut the shape with tag. Then add the same pattern paper, ribbon on both side of the tag. On one side of the tag, I added phase “inspire” and apply some matte accents with glitter. On another side, I simply add a clock face with a tint of clear cracker paint, and some drew drops. Lastly tie pink gauze with flower to finish the overall look.

Project 4: “Hello” transparency card
I wanted to try to make a card with difference materials and mix medium, so I fold half of an A5 size transparency, and then mixed difference colour alcohol ink as a background of the card. Then I stamp motif with Stazon ink on the edges, follow by die-cut the flower with pattern papers to be paste on top on the alcohol ink. And I pasted a double sided vintage paper at the back of the transparency to create some layering. For the card title, I randomly apply difference pattern washing tape on a white cardstock and then die cut it with the phase “Hello”, the effect is interesting as you won’t know what or how the effect will be until you get the phase cut out. Then run across the card with washing tape and colour string and overlay the tag sticker to secure its’ position. Finally touch up the card with some sticker, paper and rhinestones.

P/s: This will be my last assignment with MWL as I'll be leaving Singapore for relocation. I enjoyed so much on the given assignments and I will definitely continue to use Sizzix in my work...
