Me & My first mountain bike -- Specialized Epic Expert

It’s finally here...Finally got my own mountain bike rigged up, it’s a Specialized Epic! Took it out for a spin at Butterfly, one of the rugged off-road trails inside Bukit Timah forest reserve.

The trails here are frequently patronised by regular bikers, comprising of overgrown vines, exposed tree roots, fallen timbers and mud pools are just some of the obstacles making up this trail.

It was an exhausting pursuit to overcome these obstacles but real sweaty fun ride. Took a few falls, suffered few cuts but the ride was fun and exciting overall.

Came out an obvious winner with mud, scratches and mozzies bites all over

Sizzix Idea Tutorial

For this month Scoop on Sizzix @ Made With Love edition, I’m giving a tutorial on how to make folder tags with Sizzix dies.

If you like the frame design, you can also make it with your own cute and fun design like I did here.

This is my first project tutorial; I welcome your feedback and thanks for your support...

Scoop on Sizzix @ Made With Love - Vol. 3 Jul/Aug 2010‏

Finally I am back in town! Although it is a bit late now to share the projects that I did for Scoop on Sizzix @ Made With Love - Vol. 3 Jul/Aug 2010‏, but I still very excited about it... The theme is Vintage Chic; Ideas for home décor, mini album

Project 1: Inspire -- Canvas hanging album

For the first time I have combined a leather mini album with canvas! It turns into a showcase which can display a lot of photos. It can be hang on the wall and I used Frame back Ornate and Phrase Inspire for my title.

Project 2: Desk Organizer

It is so simple to create your own embossing paper with the Sizzix Textured Embossing folders; I am so in love with the effect! I used it to alter the desk organizer and I inked the paper to highlight the textures. For the flap, I die-cut the Frame Back, Ornate #4 and distress it with cracker paint. Then I add some trims and pattern papers to finish the overall look.

Project 3: Family -- Magnet

Transform a Daiso bar type magnet to a lovely message posting magnet on the refrigerator. All time favorite caged bird and pattern papers, an easy pretty home décor.

Project 4: Mini Album

I wanted to try to make a mini album with difference materials and mix medium, so Sizzix dies comes very handy as it can cut almost anything! And it comes in difference shape in one dies and I can mass produce it without worrying I’ll run out of page. So for this project, I used chipboard, PE board (plastic acrylic), pattern papers, die-cut papers, ribbons, stamp, canvas, paints, inks, etc… what a colourful mix for my favourite photos taken during my recent trip to Angkor Wat, Cambodia

{ALL DRESSED UP PARTY ON SAT 26 JUN 2010}

Last Saturday MWL had a big party to celebrate their store re-opening after a face-lift. And they created a fun “dressing up” photo booth for snapshots. So how can I miss such a “show time”!

*click click* I did a fun page for all dressed up DT...

That’s all for now... anyway I am flying off to ShenZhen China in half an hour later... I think the last round I was there is 3 years ago. Can’t wait to see how the city has changed...

Testing testing my new toy...

I got my new toy again! This round is a new portrait lens Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4G lens... I can’t wait to try it out and immediately I hit to Esplanade... but... there’s a road block! Apparently government is doing the trial run for national day parade (NDP)... wow, I have no seen one in live before and it’s even better for me to test my skill with new lens...

Sob sob…most of my photos are blur… Seem like I need more practice…
